A Visit to Malta National Aquarium

Year 2 girls went on an Educational Outing to the Malta National Aquarium in Qawra.  The attraction features 130 species of fish from large sharks to tiny clown fish.  Most of the tanks replicate the Maltese coastline.  The largest tank, which is home to tropical fish, is 12 metres long and features a tunnel through which visitors can walk while fish swim above them.  The aquarium also features an exhibition of Malta’s maritime heritage.  The children enjoyed seeing the different species of fish.
