It was a cold sunny day in February when this activity was carried out. The girls had long been anticipating to carry out this activity so they were extra excited when on our Dinja Wahda lesson the weather showed to be a lovely sunny day. It was even ideal for the birds as in winter many birds find it difficult to find food since there are no fruit on the trees and insects are hidden away. Thus the girls helped some of these lucky birds to have food to help them survive the winter. The Dinja Wahda coordinator Ms Mary gave us this very useful and practical way to make bird feeders. The girls first spread peanut butter on kitchen rolls which had long threads attached to them. Then they rolled and covered the rolls in bird seeds. Then each group chose a particular tree to which they attached the bird feeder. Now the birds in our school garden can enjoy finding food for this winter.
